Re: baffi
I enjoyed your aaucrcte article. I also agree with your view on President Corea. I own a beachfront condo in Bahia and visit 6 weeks every year.My wife and I are planning full retirement in Ecuador in 5 years when I turn 55.Because property is so inexpensive we will also be buying another home inland.A place that is overlooked in the Bahia area reviews consistantly is the location of Chirije. Taken from the lodges website Chirije is an ecolodge located on a secluded beach atop an ancient archaeological site. Baheda de Care1quez is the nearest town to the resort, located 15km North of the site. On the coast of Ecuador, Chirije lies just 90 km south of the Equator line. The only way to access this piece of ancient paradise is to drive with us on the beach, while enjoying an incredible view. Come and enjoy this unique and authentic experience!'I drive outside of Bahia about 30 minutes and head down a dirt road to the beach & then South by sand. Last year we found ancient pottery peices & and ancient hand tool on the beach. By timing the tide just right we then drove the 15 kiometers all the way back to Bahia by way of the virgin beaches stopping for a swim. I drive up off the beach 3 blocks from my condo or a few hundred feet from the La piedra Hotel.(4 wheel drive is a must if you go it alone.) Paradise does exist.Sean
